Vascular grafting becomes important whenever vessel ends are too short to be joined by a simple end-to-end anastomosis.
In this exercise, a segment of femoral vein will be used to elongate the abdominal aorta.
The challenges in this exercise are: (a) maneuvering the freely floating venous graft, and (b) avoiding tearing the venous wall while placing stitches and tying knots.
