Now the vessel is free on all its sides, from the inguinal ligament to the intersection of the femoral vessels with the inferior epigastric vessels.
Place the background material next to the vessel, lift the vessel up and pull the background under it.
Now probe how wide apart you can set the arms of your approximator to be able to flip it over without twisting the segments of vessel proximal and distal to it.
Adjust the approximator accordingly. First apply its distal clamp, wait for the vessel to distend, then apply the proximal clamp.
